Hi, I’m Ruairidh McBride but you can call me Rury.
My approach to dental care is simple – I listen, I look, I see, I show and I share – I also do a lot of and thinking in between! My aim is to deliver gentle, evidence -based long term care all the while improving my standards through education, empathy and technology.
Ruairidh was educated in Scotland and graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2008. After 3 years of delivering sleep dentistry for anxious patients in an inner city practice, he relocated to the Gold Coast before finally setting in Melbourne 6 years ago.
Ruairidh enjoys all facets of enjoys all facets of modern dentistry from simple every-day procedures to more complex interdisciplinary restorative treatment plans.
Having seen the high emotional cost and day to day difficulties people who have lost all or most of there teeth endure, Ruairidh has focused his post graduate study on rebuilding these mouths and preventing others from deteriorating to the stage where they struggle to speak, chew or smile. He spent a year at the Brener Implant Institute in Sydney where he developed his skills in implant placement and mouth rehabilitation and has worked with Nobel Biocare on the All on 4 protocol. From his time working in Scotland, he is well used to nervous patients who need help to control there anxiety and as such he offers the option of sleep dentistry for any treatment.
In his time off, Ruairidh supports Collingwood although he prefers rugby, enjoys a surf and a beer and can be found bush-walking regardless of the weather
